Pueblo County Detention Center
DKHorn Engineering & Design, Inc. is enjoying the challenge ofthe Pueblo County Detention Facility and Sheriff’s Office. As the principal provider of full civil design services, our dedicated team has meticulously crafted a project encompassing drainage and stormwater management, utilities, parking and access, and ADA accessibility.
Our collaborative approach has been working closely with key stakeholders, including the project architect, Pueblo City and County staff (including the County Sheriff’s Office), and local utilities. This concerted effort ensures that the site design not only aligns with the specific needs and functionality of the County Detention Facility and Sheriff’s Office but also complies with the stringent requirements set forth by local governing authorities. DK Horn Engineering & Design, Inc. is coordinating efforts in designing the interface with the new Medal of Honor Boulevard. This boulevard will serve as a vital artery, connecting Pueblo Boulevard to Joe Martinez Boulevard and facilitating access to the newly developed County Detention Facility and Sheriff’s Office.
Our deliverables, in a testament to our commitment to seamless integration, include construction documents covering a spectrum of aspects. These include the Site Plan, Utility Plan, Grading & Drainage Plan, Underdrain Plan, Construction Erosion & Sediment Control Plan, Utility Plan & Profiles, Construction Details and Sections, and Specifications. Additionally, we have contributed documents such as the Drainage Study/Report and Stormwater Management Plan (Report), underlining our commitment to a holistic and sustainable project.
Even as the construction of the facility progresses, DK Horn Engineering & Design, Inc. remains actively engaged in providing ongoing construction support. Our presence ensures that the envisioned project comes to fruition seamlessly, meeting the highest standards of quality and functionality.
